Investing in screenplay and film production is one of the best investments anyone could make.  In many ways, it is better than investing in rental properties and even gold.  That is because we live in a nation that thrives on the entertainment industry.  Years of research reveals that no matter the state of a person’s finances, screenplays draw in the crowds.  In fact, screenplays tend to draw in more money during a state of depression.  That is because people can escape the reality of what is going on when they visit the movies.
In terms of investing in film production, many low budget films have managed to reap a great deal of success.  When the Blair Witch Project was first produced in 1999, it cost approximately $5,000.  By 2002, the movie had already grossed just over $150,000,000 and continues to make money even now.  The classic horror movie Halloween is yet another example.  The producers spent $320,000 on production costs yet the film grossed over $75,000,000 and continues to earn.  Movies never stop earning money thanks to movie rentals, movie sound tracks, remakes, and cable viewing opportunities.  Many films experience viewing by each new generation, thus increasing the earning potential for that particular film.
So why is investing in screenplay and film production better than investing in real estate?  In laymen’s terms, say you build an apartment complex and it costs you $50,000 per unit to build it.  If you decide you want 20 units in your complex, you have just considered a building cost of $1 million.  If you rent each unit out for roughly $600 a piece, you will make $144,000 a year.  It would take you approximately seven years just to make your $1 million back.  When you produce a movie for a cost of $1 million, you can potentially make well over $300 million in just the first year.
Simply put, if you invest $1 million into the production of a film, you are likely to experience a higher return on profits than you would by investing the same amount in real estate.  Screenplay and film production is one of the most lucrative areas of investment you could choose.  The fact is many people will not inform you of this fact.  Once this fact is discovered, it is like striking a gold mine and people tend not to want to share when they have found a gold mine“
